Introduction

I am an ex Royal Navy marine engineering apprentice, where I completed my Marine Engineering Mechanic Operating Certificate (MEMOC). I have been in and around yachts from a young age. Most recent 3 yachts, -Recently completed contract as Sole Engineer on Baltic 36M SY - 10 year Rina survey and yard period preparing for Atlantic crossing for new owner. Sole Engineer Southern Wind 34M SY, prior to that - Engineer 45M SY World record breaking Ketch. Several years on other boats and yard contracts. Now taking some time off enjoying sunny Mallorca. I plan to start my next challenge late August. Completed AEC1 & AEC2 to comply with flag state as Malta wouldn't recognize RN qualification. Currently in discussions with RN, MCA & Engineering colleges to enable me to transfer my RN qualifications to SV. (STCW 111/4, STCW 111/5, (possibly STCW 111/6) & several modules towards EOOW). B1B2 in hand. All STCW's, Eng1, Discharge Book.
