I am a Yachtmaster & STCW Master 500GT with an OOW unlimited license. For the last 20 years, I have worked as a Sailing- and MY-Instructor, Captain, and Skipper on SYs, and as 2nd and 1st Officer on classic SVs and Tallships. Before turning my lifelong passion into my profession, I was a successful Advertising Executive in Zurich, Switzerland, where I also lived until two years ago, before moving to Trogir, Croatia, near the Split airport. I am a very experienced sailor and navigator with great people skills, and I keep my composure when wind and waves hit the fan. Also, I speak five languages fluently. At 53 years of age, I am looking to either captain a great yacht with great owners and a well-oiled crew in a permanent but preferably rotational position, or to join a Yacht bigger than 500GT as 2nd Officer in order to automatically get my Master 3000GT after 10 more months of sea time in that capacity. I am available for deliveries and temporary employment if the offer is right. In my spare time, I do adventure off-road motorcycling, and when I find the time, I wrestle my second novel. I see myself working as a rotational Captain (or Officer) for the next 7-8 years, fully committing and investing myself as part of a great, well-run yacht. With best regards Michel
